Coral Restoration
Supporting science-driven approaches to restore degraded coral ecosystems and strengthen reef resilience.
XELMAR brings together technology, science and marine conservation to develop practical solutions for healthier reefs — starting in Mexico.
Coral reefs need more than awareness. They need science, innovation, collaboration and action. XELMAR is being built at that intersection.
Supporting science-driven approaches to restore degraded coral ecosystems and strengthen reef resilience.
Applying engineering, digital tools and emerging technologies to real conservation challenges.
Connecting research, field observations and education to understand what reefs need and measure what works.
I'm Carla — an engineer, diver and ocean conservationist building a new path at the intersection of technology and marine conservation.
After years working with complex technology, I want to apply that experience where it can create a different kind of impact: helping protect and restore the ecosystems that first inspired me underwater.
XELMAR is developing a technology-driven approach to coral reef restoration in Mexico, together with conservation and technology partners.
From reef science and fieldwork to innovative restoration technologies, the goal is to turn engineering into measurable conservation impact. More details coming soon.
XELMAR is currently developing its first partnerships and projects. We are interested in connecting with researchers, conservation organisations, technology partners and people who want to help.
